The Guidance Programme in our school Involves looking after the Career, Educational and Social/Personal needs of all students.
Career needs:
Helps students become aware of themselves and career interests, this is facilitated through:
Timetabled classes
Individual consultation with students and parents
Personal profiling
Completion of aptitude tests and interest inventories
Career investigation
Work experience
Career exhibitions/ open days/ taster programmes
Guest Speakers
Educational needs:
Helps students with issues such as:
Subject choice
Subject level
Advice on programme advancement
Advice on progression beyond second level education
Exam preparation
Stress management
Mindfulness
This is facilitated through:

- SPHE and Guidance Classes
- Appropriate contact with relevant outside agencies
